What is a Homestead?
A tract of land used by one to live frugally or self-sufficiently; by growing and preserving food.
Is there a land requirement for having a homestead?
No, were nestled on 5.5 acres. However, there are smaller half acre, one (1) acre and three (3) acre homesteads out there too.
What is the Growing Season and How long does it last?
Were located under hardiness zone 6a, meaning our last frost is typically occurs in May with the First frost occurring in Mid-October.
Our growing season begins in early spring, typically the end of March/Beginning of April and ends in Mid-October.
Do you really have Honeybees?
Yes we do!
Honey bees account for 80% of all insect pollination. Bees collect approximately 66 lbs. of pollen per year, per hive. A honeybee visits 50 to 100 flowers during a collection trip; When a bee finds a good source of nectar it flies back to the hive and shows its friends where the nectar source is; in turn spreading pollen to all of our crops.

How do deliveries/ local pickup work?
After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email verifying your order/delivery method.
-Local Pickup-
Those choosing Local pickup, will pick up their order(s) here at the homestead on Tuesdays between the hours of 6-8pm. This allows us to serve a greater area, to include those living outside of our 30 mile delivery radius.
- Deliveries-
Deliveries are made every Sunday between the hours of 12-4pm unless noted otherwise at time of sale.
You will receive a call/text or email prior to drop-off, If unable to make contact and complete delivery, following x2 attempts, all items will be returned, and a refund issued minus a restocking fee of $1 per item.
The cutoff for orders to be delivered within the same week is Saturday at 12pm, any orders placed after 12pm will automatically be scheduled for the following weeks delivery date.
