Thieves Essential Oil - How To:

It’s wintertime! The cold weather has officially set in, and our indoor/outdoor dogs are inside more often than not. This, I don’t mind! It just means that we will be stepping up our cleaning routine to include vacuuming more throughout the week and wiping the furniture down (more often) as their dog hair seems to stick to the bigger pieces - especially those in the living room; their favorite place to hang out!

We like to use more natural cleaning products with little to no chemical makeup, with one of my favorites being Thieves. I was gifted a bottle of the Young Living brand – however, you can also make your own! (I’ve attached the recipe below)

Benefits of using thieves to clean include,

  • It’s all-natural – It’s plant and mineral-based.

  • It’s antimicrobial.

  • It’s an all-purpose cleaner – I’ve used it on my front door, kitchen cabinets, whilst cleaning the bathroom, wiping down mirrors, and when mopping the floors!

  • It can be used as a degreaser and for high surface areas that may have buildup.

  • It can also be used when doing laundry for an added boost!

  • Is budget-friendly.

  • Is kid/pet friendly!

Bonus Question - Did you know?!?

Thieves can also be mixed with a carrier oil and then used as a chest rub to relieve coughing when sick with a cold/flu; it can also be diffused to help clear phlegm when congested!
